Request for sheltering

Directorate for Health and Social Welfare

Purpose: Providing sheltering for citizens who have housing problems and are social cases

Description: The applicant submits the request enclosed with the proper documents. The request is registered in the Directorate's system. A commission is set up to conduct a field verification, and the same renders a decision on the number of citizens that need sheltering. The response is returned to the applicant based on this decision.

Documents requested

  • ID card (Original)
  • Birth certificates of family members of the applicant (Original)
  • Employment records of employed members, and of sources of regular income (Copy)
  • Proof of ownership, cadastral plan, possession list and other relevant documentation from the real estate register (Copy)
  • Statement signed by two adults confirming that the applicant does not generate additional income. (Copy)
  • Proof of unemployed members of the family. (Original)
  • Proof of regular education (for family members of legal age) (Copy)
  • Certificate on the health condition of the applicant or of the family members (Original)
