Registration of death that occurred outside of Kosovo territory

Directorate of General Administration

Purpose: Allows registration of death of the person whose death has occurred abroad in order to update the data in the death registers

Description: The applicant submits the request at the Civil Status Office for registration of death occurred outside Kosovo. If the documentation is complete, death will be promptly registered in the Death Register. Upon registration of death, the system forwards automatically the data to the register of birth and blocks the birth records of that person.

  • Name (Name of Parent) Surname of the deceased
  • Name and surname of the person making the request (relations with the deceased)

  • Death Certificate (Original)
  • ID Card (of the deceased) (Copy)
  • Certificate of residence (of the deceased) (Original)
  • ID Card (of the person making the request) (Original)
  • Certificate of residence (of the person making the request, if hr/she is a Kosovo citizen) (Copy)
